CITY OF THOROLD, May 8, 2017
The Port Robinson Ferry – which has been carrying cyclists and pedestrians across the Welland Canal since 1974 – is undergoing accessibility improvements that will delay the 2017 Operating Season to early June. A firm date will be communicated in the near future.
Accessible docks are currently being constructed by Rankin Construction and riders will also notice accessibility improvements to the ferry boat. These accessibility improvements are been undertaken through monetary contributions made by the St. Lawrence Seaway Authority.
The improvements currently being made will have a positive impact on the future of this service.
