16th Annual Canal Bank Shuffle

The City of Thorold welcomes music-lovers to the 16th Annual Canal Bank Shuffle, a four day festival across various Thorold venues from Oct. 12 to 15, 2017.

The Shuffle features world-renowned blues artists with a touch of roots, rock, soul, funk, country, and jazz.
Shuffle 2017 proudly presents a total of three International Blues Challenge (IBC) champions, two Grammy winners, and several Juno and Maple Blues Award-winning artists.

This year will mark the return of multi-award-winning fan favourites like Joe Louis Walker, Jeremiah Johnson, Jack deKeyzer, as well as the debut of legends like Paul Nelson.

Newcomers to the Shuffle stage include the iconic Nick Schnebelen, gospel-blues trio, The Kinsey Report, and Anthony Gomes.
You’ll love The Last Waltz—A Musical Celebration of The Band, Live, led by Juno-Award-winning producer Lance Anderson.

In the spirit of Canada’s sesquicentennial, we’ve featured mainly Canadian musicians this year, but have invited three great U.S. bands to perform in our Western New York Showcase, including Miller and the Other Sinners—formerly known as Dive House Union, Tommy Z, and the Patti Parks Band.

Our lineup of musical venues includes Holy Rosary Hall—featuring tasty treats from Karma Kameleon Gastropub and Thorold Legion Hall where local bluesman—Brant Parker—and his band, will host a late night all-star jam.

Tickets for the entire four-day festival cost $25 in advance, $30 at the door, and are available as of Sept. 6 online and at Donnelly’s Irish Pub, located at 54 Front Street South in Thorold, The Pen Centre customer service desk, and Trillium Industrial Safety, 526 Queenston Street in St. Catharines.
