Thorold Celebrates to the Beat of its Own Rhythm with Blues on the Battlefield Festival

Blues on the Battlefield – Thorold, July 2-3, 2017

Blues enthusiasts will be happy to know that Battle of Beaverdams Park in Thorold will be filled with the bluesy sounds of electric guitar, harmonica, piano, slide guitar and more this July 2nd and 3rd. Along with soulful and powerful blues vocalists performing live, the 2-day Blues on the Battlefield Festival is a free outdoor celebration of Canada’s 150th.

Award-winning recording artists from as far as Florida and Chicago will share the stage with some of our own Ontario and Niagara-grown musicians. A range of styling from vintage and inspirational roots to popular rock influences will be sure to please festival-goers.

On Sunday, July 2, the festival welcomes Selwyn Birchwood, The Focklers, The Jenie Thai Band, JP Soars & the Red Hots.

On Monday, July 3, its: The Max Hillier Band, Mississippi Heat, The David Rotundo Band, LMT Connection.

On the heels of Canada Day celebrations in Battle of Beaverdams Park, the outdoor festival runs from Sunday, July 2 to Monday July 3 with continuous performances starting at 2 p.m. and running until dark.
