Battle of Beaverdams Park Setting the Stage

Battle of Beaverdams Park

Historic Battle of Beaverdams Park is a popular location for local community events and gatherings.

The 10-acre park is located in the heart of downtown Thorold where, at one time, the Welland Canal flowed through it. Today, remnants of it remain.

The Brian Williams Band Shell hosts many outdoor concerts including the 2nd annual Blues on the Battlefield. A total of 10 bands hailing from Detroit, Toronto and some of Niagara’s finest, graced the stage over the two-day event, keeping Thorold on the musical tourism destination map.

The park is also host to the Battle of Beaverdams Pops Series. Established in 1851, the Thorold Reed Band –¬†Andrew Carruthers, conductor, celebrates its 165th season! Enjoy an outdoor Pop, Rock, Jazz or Swing concert every Wednesday evening from 7:30 p.m. to sunset. Concerts run from June to August.
